At Dade City's Wild Things we strive to bring you close to the animals. We offer animal encounters as an addition to any of our tours or packages. You may also schedule a private encounter, where you will get one on one time with the animal of your choice. You may choose an encounter with any of the animals listed below.

NOTICE! The time of an animal encounter may need to be adjusted or delayed when an animal has become overstimulated or needs rest or playtime. If you schedule an encounter, please be patient. Animals do not understand human schedules. We always put the well-being of our animals first. Due to an animal's age or its temperament at the time of an encounter, we cannot guarantee that on any encounter you will be able to hold the animal. With patience we will give you the best encounter possible and assure the well-being of our animals.

*Please note that the taking of photos or recording of videos is not permitted on our tours or during encounters due to time constraints. In the past, some guests with cameras or recording devices have not followed directions, resulting in interference and delays. To provide a better experience for our guest and the animals, a zoo employee will be present to take pictures of the encounters and you may purchase a CD of your experience at the gift shop.
