Soon she settled in her new home and appeared happy as a house cat, that is until she could allure you closer and you would quickly realize she is a wild animal.

King & Sasha – African Black Mane Lions
Brother and sister came to us at four months old from North Carolina. They were extremely calcium deficient and had very poor bone density as well as numerous other medical issues. They were weaned to early due to a shortage of food, having to fight the mother for road-kill deer. After arriving to their new home and having medical treatment and many calcium and vitamin supplements they are two beautiful teenagers. Sasha was also fixed to prevent any breeding from her brother in the future. King is just now getting his famous mane – it takes 5 years to fully mature.

Luther & Cassie – Black Jaguar and Spotted Jaguar
Luther and Cassie were both kept in very small cages without the ability to jump, which caused many conditions including poor muscle development in their rear legs. Unfortunately she was on a limited income and fed her mostly raw hotdogs, eggs and peanut butter. After coming to us she and with the improved diet her fur has thickened and the brown color returned. She gets upset around strangers who get to close to her cage which is to be expected since she had little contact with people.

They were in a 100+ breeding colony and could not compete for food. They came to us grey and ribs showing, also showing aggression with each other. After being put on a good diet with plenty of food they having retained the weight needed as well as the golden rust color fur has thickened up. But most of all they are best of friends and eat and sleep together with no aggression towards each other.

Bravo – Java Macaque
Bravo was from a research facility and then placed in a breeding facility. Then sold again, in which he seriously injured to female macaques and killed one.
